What are the Eligibility Criteria?
Nurses from India must have the following programmes completed which are equivalent or satisfactory to New Zealand standards :
- A level 7 bachelor’s degree programme in nursing
Or
- A level 7 graduate pre-registration programme
Or
- A post-graduate pre-registration nursing programme
- A nursing council approved competence assessment programme
★ Competency Assessment Program :
- If you already are an internationally qualified nurse or are returning to nursing, meet this demand to practice nursing in New Zealand
- Complete this program to become educated to the best skilled professional standards of New Zealand
- Successful completion allows the nurse to demonstrate their practices to meet the Nursing Council of New Zealand and get approved
★ Qualifications :
Sc. Or post B. Sc. Or M. Sc. In nursing
★ Work Experience :
Minimum 2 years as a registered nurse in the last 5 years (minimum 2500 Hours)
★ English Language Requirements :
Occupational English Test (OET) and International English Language Testing
System (IELTS) are the two English language tests approved by the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ).
OET – A minimum score of 350 in each band is required.
IELTS – A minimum score of 7 in each band of the academic test is required.
