The Pilot program is a program designed to promote certain Communities that have been selected to take part in its new Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program. There are 11 communities participating in this program and those communities are located in the major provinces of Canada such as Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan Alberta and British Columbia. The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot is a Canadian government initiated program to promote the development of smaller communities participating in this program. This program can be considered as a pathway to permanent residency for the skilled workers who want to live and work in one of the participating community. So the local labor market requirements are fulfilled with appropriate skilled workers who receive a job offer from the participating companies.

To be eligible for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program, you must meet all eligibility requirements.

• 1 year of continuous work experience (at least 1,560 hours) in the past 3 years
• Language requirements
  • NOC 0 and A: CLB/NCLC 6
  • NOC B: CLB/NCLC 5
  • NOC C and D: CLB/NCLC 4
• Minimum Canadian high school diploma and above or equivalent education
• Proof of funds
• A valid job offer from a participating community
